This page explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones this website uses, and how to control them. It is the full version of any summary shown when you first arrived.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Cookies let a site remember you between page loads — for example, so a room search survives when you open a new tab. Similar technologies, which do the same job by a different route, include local storage and pixels. This page covers all of them.

What this website uses

We have deliberately kept this list short. There is no advertising on this site, we do not sell data, and we do not run cross-site tracking.

Strictly necessary — always on

What it does: Keep the site working and remember choices you made, such as the rooms and dates you are looking at and whether you have been shown this notice.

Why: These make the service you asked for possible. They cannot be switched off, and they do not build a profile of you for advertising.

Security and diagnostics — always on

What it does: Record limited technical information such as an IP address, used to identify abuse, block attacks and diagnose faults.

Why: Keeps the site secure and available. Kept short, and not used for marketing.

Analytics — only with your agreement

What it does: Help us understand which pages are used and where the site is difficult to use, in a way that does not identify you.

Why: Lets us improve the site from evidence rather than guesswork. Only set if you agree.

Maps — only with your agreement

What it does: When you view the map on our contact page, an embedded map service is contacted and may set its own cookies.

Why: The map cannot be shown without it. Only loaded if you agree.

Cookies we never set

We do not use advertising cookies, we do not embed advertising networks, and we do not share or sell anything about your visit to anyone for their benefit. There is nothing on this site for you to click out of, because there is nothing of that kind on it.

Managing your choices

You can change your mind at any time. Clearing cookies in your browser settings will remove anything already stored, and the site will still work — you may just be asked to make a choice again.

You can also block cookies entirely in your browser. Strictly necessary cookies are the only ones the site needs; blocking the rest stops nothing important.

If you would rather we changed how the site works for you, or you want to ask what we hold, contact us on 0116 507 5404 or info@belvoirhotelnotts.co.uk. Our privacy notice explains that in full.

The website assistant

When you use the assistant, the words you type are sent to an AI provider so it can answer. That is not a cookie and it is not covered by your cookie settings — it is covered by the section on the assistant in our privacy notice. Do not type payment details, passport numbers or health information into it.
